Vincent Wiart — software engineer, 20 years shipping backend systems. I spend most of that time in Go, on APIs and data pipelines that try to stay boring under load. What I care about is simplicity: clear contracts, observability you can actually trust, less code rather than more. I tinker with SolidJS, Tailwind, and Flutter for side projects — strictly after hours.

01 experience

mar. 2022 — now

senior backend engineer

Collegial

Collegial builds corporate learning platforms for enterprise organisations.

I own the analytics system that tracks learners' progress and maintains the learning catalog. I built the data pipelines that turn raw learning data — effort, completion — into meaningful insights, processing tens of millions of statements and millions of participations across tens of thousands of users.

Among that work, I built the daily integration that ingests partner catalogs (Coursera, Pluralsight, and others), storing the raw data, normalizing it, and serving it through a GraphQL API — along with the queries that turn learner and learning context into insights.

senior backend engineer

Zevoy

Zevoy is a corporate expense-management platform built around company cards.

As one of the first three engineers, I built the platform's backend from scratch — from the transaction pipeline to expense management — taking it to production and thousands of users within the first year.

sep. 2016 — jan. 2021

senior backend engineer

Meniga Rewards

Meniga Rewards is a card-linked rewards platform that turns transaction data into targeted cashback.

I designed, built and maintained backend systems analyzing millions of card transactions for 100k+ users. Among that work, I built the merchant portal's GraphQL API as a greenfield project, and rolled out observability across the microservices — in particular distributed tracing, which exposed bottlenecks and cut latency on the paths that mattered.

2008 — sep. 2016

project manager

iMDEO

iMDEO is a digital agency building web applications and sites for clients ranging from small associations to large enterprises and French public institutions.

I led a team of developers and UX designers to conduct projects for internal stakeholders or customers.

Created a web application to help the Écoles de la deuxième chance, a French association dedicated to helping young adults get back into education, that allows them to keep track of the progress of each student.

Built a web application for Meccoli, a French company specialized in rail track maintenance, handling the logistics for each site (planning, equipment booking, ...).

Coordinated the maintenance and development of the 10 intranets of l'Oréal. I have consolidated the customer relationship with l'Oréal during 10 years, first as a developer, then as a project manager.

jan. 2006 — 2008

full stack engineer

iMDEO

I worked in a team of engineers as a full stack engineer, specialized in Java and C# technologies on various projects.

Integrated an engineering team as a consultant at Chanel, working on the maintenance of their intranet (e.g. "Chanel Edition", a web application handling the translation workflow for all Chanel products).

Maintained 10 SharePoint portals for l'Oréal.

Designed and implemented the web portal of Reporters d'Espoirs, a French association of journalists specialized in positive news. This web portal allowed Reporters d'Espoirs to multiply their reach by 3, delivering hundreds of positive news stories per month.
